Class Schedule for 2026
The Arachne's Web classroom is nearly completed! Our upstairs space is insulated, and it will be sheet rocked at the end of this week (Feb. 7).

Our class calendar will be published shortly with dates and registration links. Below are the rough outlines we have so far for Alison's classes. The ones Mars will teach are coming soon. Please let us know if there are things you'd like to see added.

How to Make Loose Incense
This is a fun class that teaches you how to create your own loose incense blends. We use ground herbs, resins and essential oils to make customized scents.
​Supplies are provided in the class to create one incense blend. If you want to make more than one, an additional $7 materials fee will be added for the jar and plant materials.

How to Blend Herbal Teas
One of the herbal foundations classes. This fun and interactive class will include lots of smelling and tasting! We will explore the wonderful world of herbal teas, and how to blend delicious and effective teas for home cold care, gentle sleep assistance and more.
All students will receive a hand out with information to use when blending at home, an ounce of their creation in class, and the recipe so they can make more!
Herbal monographs will also be included for 5 common herbs used in teas. An herbal monograph is one or more pages of information specific to that herb. You can collect these, and add them to a personal notebook or binder to use for many years to come.

How to Make Herbal Tinctures
One of the herbal foundations classes, this will teach you to confidently create potent, effective herbal tinctures at home. The method will be the classic masceration technique.
Tinctures are used for everything from boosting the immune system to helping with sleep.
This class will include a handout with clear instructions for home use, and 5 herbal monographs for herbs that are often used in tincture form. An herbal monograph is one or more pages of information specific to that herb. You can collect these, and add them to a personal notebook or binder to use for many years to come.
Instructions will also be provided about contraindications and how to manage herbal care with Western medicine.
Supplies are provided in the class to create one herbal tincture.
Note: Students in this class must be 21 years of age or older due to the presence of alcohol in the class.

How to Blend Essential Oil Perfume: 2 Part Class
This is a fun class that teaches you how to create your own custom perfume! We will use essential oils and learn classic perfume blending techniques and language to demystify creating wonderful scents. Supplies are provided in the class to create one perfume.
In part one, we will learn terminology and smell a lot of oils. We will blend the foundations for our perfumes, and then wrap up.
Part 2 of the class will meet 6 weeks later. We will look at our notes from part one, and compare results to see how time has changed our scents. Then we will make changes as needed to make them perfect!
All students will receive a hand out with materials to help complete future projects at home. And everyone will leave with a custom perfume blend and the recipe to make more in the future!

How to Make Herbal Oils
One of the herbal foundations classes, this class will teach you to confidently create potent, effective herbal oils for use in skin care and topical pain relief.
This class will include a handout with clear instructions for home use, and 5 herbal monographs for herbs that are often used in oils.
An herbal monograph is one or more pages of information specific to that herb. You can collect these, and add them to a personal notebook or binder to use for many years to come.
Supplies are provided in the class to create one herbal oil. If you want to make more than one, an additional materials fee will be added.

One of the herbal foundations classes, this will teach you to confidently create potent, effective herbal salves and creams from herbal oils. This class requires familiarity with making herbal oils.
Class will include a handout with clear instructions for home use, and 5 herbal monographs for herbs that are often used in oils.
An herbal monograph is one or more pages of information specific to that herb. You can collect these, and add them to a personal notebook or binder to use for many years to come.
Supplies are provided in the class to create one herbal oil, and one cream.
