THis is a bit of a misnomer as the color of the salt is light pink when ground. It looks more dark gray when in lump form, but this is ground.
 
THis salt is used to make dishes taste like eggs. It has a strong sulphur component, and it makes many vegan dishes taste like they contain eggs.
