Arachne's Web is committed to giving back to our community and our world. This year, we found a very special way to give back.

Over the last several years, we have been remodeling our antique barn. This is the building where our shop is located. And the renovations continue as we work on the second floor!

​

Throughout the renovations, we have found hundred of antique iron nails. These are old, square head nails, many hand made, by the original builders. We kept the nails, and collected them without really knowing why.

​

These nails built a house that has sheltered many families in its more than 200 year history. We felt like they deserve one more chance to protect and help house families now. So, for the holiday season in 2025, we decided to offer the nails as House Nails for the Homeless.

​

Each nail is in a little bag, with contact information for the Friends Program in Concord. They are a wonderful organization that helps families find emergency shelter. But they don't stop there! The Friends Program offers long term support to help families at risk of future homelessness. They teach skills that will help the families move forward and break the cycle of poverty and end their homelessness forever.

The House Nails are available now at Arachne's Web, through Christmas. We plan to match the amount we pull in and bring a check to Concord just before the holiday.​​
