Earrings: Molly Brown Image on Steel Drops

Steel, paper, findings, finishing product.

These handmade earrings are a wonderful tribute to the "Unsinkable Molly Brown"! Light weight and comfortable, the black and white image of Molly has a great vintage appeal, while celebrating an early feminist icon.

Who was Molly Brown?

Margaret Brown, known after her death as the "Unsinkable Molly Brown", was an American socialite and philanthropist. Molly was a survivor of the RMS Titanic, which sank in 1912. She was one of the few who urged (unsuccessfully) the crew in Lifeboat No. 6 to return to the place where the hip went down to look for survivors. A musical was made about her life called The Unsinkable Molly Brown, with Debbie Reynolds in the lead role.

Paper images affixed and finished to steel with a product that creates an oil painting like look and texture. UV protected and water resistant, sturdy, lightweight and comfortable.
