This is a lovely, heavy mortar and pestle, with perfectly rough interior and bottom of the grinder to help grind herbs and spices to the perfect consistency. Easy to ues, solid black soap stone - this will last in your kitchen for a lifetime!
 
Use to make food spice mixes, or to make incense. I don't recommend using the same one for both as some incense ingredients could leave oils in the stone that wouldn't be good for food.
 
Grind seeds and pods like cardamom, anise and clove by hand for an instant burst of aroma! Then stir your intention into your wonderful food creations!
 
Mortar (bowl) is 2.5" tall. Pestle (blunt rod used to grind) fits neatly into the bowl. Convenient size fits easily into a smaller kitchen, or keep it on a display shelf - it is quite pretty - then give it a rinse before starting to use (rinse out any dust).
